Hellasnet: the first comprehensive attempt to bibliometric evaluation in Greece Greek University Reform peptides Forum Greek University Reform Forum
The Hellasnet was a publicly accessible database in which one could find a number of publications and reports any researcher working peptides in the Greek area. This website was set up at the initiative peptides of Mr. John brilliant professor in the Medical School of University of Pennsylvania, in collaboration with the ISI company issuing the Citation Index. Two articles on this project together with a list of the most productive Greek researchers published in the Daily (a. Peter, A. Lambris, Research Evaluation through peptides Citation Index, 22 & 23/10/98). Here is the republication of two articles of Daily Chemicals Chronicles (A. Peter, A. Lambris, peptides 1999, Data on research in Greece between 1981 to 1995):
This initiative aroused many reactions. This is the mail that I was able to collect (Unfortunately the file Kathimerini does not include peptides the years 1996-2000. There may be other letters): Letter P. Lianos, Daily 11/17/98 (unreadable scanning) Letter N. Chatziliadi, Daily 11/17/98 Reply authors, 28/11/98 (I could not find) Letter Th. Loukaki in Tribune, 12/25/98 Reply writers in Loukaki, Step 31/01/99 Letter E. Kamaratou, Daily 02/13/99
My opinion is that it was a very worthwhile effort wrongly terminated. Surely there are signs that one should watch (caveats), and this should have been made clear on the website. Some are identified by the letter-: that it included articles written abroad and that the number of publications peptides and citations depends on the field of knowledge. Also a source of error is that some researchers have published with different spellings of his name in English. Thus one can draw incorrect conclusions in some cases. Nevertheless it would be very useful to have today such a database, even as a preliminary step to a more thorough examination of the productivity of Greek researchers.
Obviously there are many points that should take care of. Say science H / Y the largest impact factor to have the Proceedings of the Usenix which contained articles about system management, etc. On the other serious (!) Magazines such as Theoretical peptides Computer Science or Mathematcial Structures peptides in Computer Science does not have the similar impact factor. Whatever it is good to have an overview of what everyone does, even if published in Super-Catherine or entangle:-)

I so far have not found any serious evaluation peptides system nor magazines or researchers. In my opinion, the impact factor eg is completely stupid. Some of the best magazines have very low impact factor in relation to something other published on a plate ...
If you do not come a serious way to assess the magazines it is difficult peptides to create a reliable comparison algorithm researchers. Perhaps we could set up a committee to evaluate the journals worldwide. peptides (I do not know if this is possible)
For example, peptides the ASCE Journal of Computing in Civil Engineering unlike Elsevier Journal of Advanced Engineering Informatics. If you can not post in the first, you think not to go in the second, while the impact factor is upside down.
